Account & Access

How accounts work end to end: registration, email verification, early-access waves, password recovery, and data deletion.

Registration

Accounts are created with an email address and password. Passwords are stored as salted hashes — never in plain text — and you can change yours at any time from Settings. Each email address maps to exactly one account.

Email verification

After signing up you receive a verification link. Verification is required before paper trading unlocks; it confirms you own the address we send account and safety notifications to. Controlled live access, where available, requires separate approval. The sign-in screen can resend the link if it expires.

Early-access waves

During early access, trading is enabled in controlled cohorts called waves:

Wave 0Approved accounts — paper trading enabled; controlled live access only if separately approved.

Wave 1Early access — the next activation group.

Wave 2General paper access — broader onboarding queue. Controlled live access remains separate and gated.

If your account is in a wave above the active ceiling, the AI still evaluates the market for you, but trade execution is held with the reason "waiting in the early-access queue" — visible on your Decisions page. When your wave activates, trading unlocks automatically; no action is needed on your side.

Wave gating exists so live onboarding stays safe and supportable. It is an access control, not a malfunction.

Password reset

Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We email a time-limited reset link; following it lets you set a new password and signs you in. For security, reset links are single-use.

Profile & preferences

The Profile page holds your display name and account details. Notification preferences (which events reach you, on which channels) live in Settings. Consent for messaging channels is covered in the Terms of Use.

Sessions & tokens

Signing in issues a short-lived access token and a refresh token. The app refreshes these automatically; if you stay signed out long enough for both to expire, you simply sign in again. Signing out invalidates the session on the device you used.

Account deletion & data requests

Email hello@neurotraderai.com from your account address to request deletion or a copy of your data. What we retain and why is described in the Privacy Policy.

Security checklist

Use a unique password — not one shared with another service.
We never ask for your password, exchange API secrets, or seed phrases. Anyone who does is not us.
When connecting an exchange for live trading, create API keys without withdrawal permission.
